My Year In Cities 2008

1. The city that was like a mirror reflecting everything except me.

2. The city of flames licking the insides of your eyes.

3. The city of Open Heart, Insert Mouth.

4. The city where the moon and the wind are friends.

5. The city where we are still waiting for the pattern to emerge.

6. The city of the failure of the readership to embrace change.

7. The city where the storms are getting stronger and closer but we never see them through the windows.

8. The city where someone in a crowd of thousands might be the one person who loves you.

9. The city of n0t b3!ng !n Pa!n anym0re.

10. The city of my heart, in every language of the stars.

I love this meme.

You are in a mall when the zombies attack. You have:
1. One weapon.
2. One song blasting on the speakers.
3. One famous person to fight alongside you.

Weapon can be real or fictional; you may assume endless ammo if applicable. Person can be real or fictional.

My answers:

1. Swirling rainbows of death that shoot from the palms of my hands
2. “Jesus is Waiting” by Al Green
3. Buffy

I got tagged three years ago to do a thing and never noticed until now. I figure better late, right?

Total number of books I’ve owned:
I don’t know. I don’t like counting things or owning things. But not very many. I got tired of lugging books around everytime we moved, and I am avid library-user.

The last book I bought:
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Long Way Home

The last book I read:
As in finished:
The Watchmen
As in still reading:
David Barringer’s American Home Life

Five books that mean something to me:
The Book of Nightmares by Galway Kinnell
Chokeville by Josh Allen
The Spell Book of Listen Taylor by Jaclyn Moriarty
The Kabuki series by David Mack (technically more than one book)
I don’t know, I can’t think of another one. I like a lot of books a lot.

Tag five people and request they fill this out on their blogs:
Josh, because he didn’t do it three years ago either, Lindsey, Briana, Sarah, Meghan, Chris, Matthew, Pierce, Roxanne. Like I said, I don’t count things.

You people have three years to complete this request, and that is it.
